<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood-withdrawal system for sampling blood for diagnosing. <P>SOLUTION: This system includes a housing having a lancet, and the lancet can move in the housing. The system also includes a lancet driving part having a driving spring and an operation preparing mechanism, and the operation preparing mechanism 13 includes an operation element 14. The operation element 14 is joined to the driving spring 16 via an input side joining mechanism 29, and tension is applied to the driving spring 16 when the operation element 14 moves in the operation preparing stage of operation of the lancet driving part 9. The operation element of the operation preparing mechanism is joined to an orbit control mechanism. The orbit control mechanism includes a control orbit part 45 and a control traveler 46 as its components, and the control traveler 46 relatively operates to the control orbit part 45 within at least a part of the operation preparing stage.
