<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surely installable fence for a bed, which can be safely used in a desired way by a simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: In this fence for the bed, (a) a fixing member I is composed of an L-shaped member 2, a vertical leg 7 whose upper part has a socket 10, and a horizontal member 6 which is provided in parallel with a horizontal part of the L-shaped member 2; an engaging part 9 is provided at the end of the horizontal part of the L-shaped member; and the end of the horizontal member 6 is fixed to the socket part 10. (b) In a movable member II, an L-shaped member 4 with a short vertical part having an engaging part 18 at an end of a horizontal part, and an L-shaped member 3 with a similar short vertical part are arranged in upper and lower positions, and brought into continuous contact with each other by a supporting member; an end of the lower L-shaped member has a socket part 17; and the socket has a downward elongated vertical leg 8.
