PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch for a vehicle which is mainly mounted on a vehicle and detects opening and closing of doors or like and in which deterioration of insulation between fixed contacts is little and electrical connection and disconnection is stable. SOLUTION: Since the fixed contacts 12A, 12B are formed opposed to each other in nearly parallel with the movement direction of the movable contact member 7 and a slit 14 is provided between the fixed contacts 12A, 12B of the substrate 11, the fixed contacts 12A, 12B are separated by the gap of the slit 14 and the surface distance can be secured large, thereby decreasing the deterioration of insulation between the fixed contacts is small and obtaining the switch for vehicle with stable electrical connection and disconnection.
