PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a high speed disk changer, wherein the time at the exchange of a disk is saved. SOLUTION: The correspondence relation between a stocker and a disk number is not fixed, and by controlling so that the free stocker nearest to a disk inserting port is moved to the position of the disk inserting port, the relation between the stocker and the disk number is flexibly made correspondent, thereby contents of a managing list are changed each time.
