PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve for a liquefied gas vessel which is assembled at low cost, and a method for assembling the same. SOLUTION: The valve for a liquefied gas container comprises a valve housing 31, a valve element unit 50, and a C-shaped stop ring 80. The valve element unit 50 comprises a valve element 51 and a valve stem 60. When the valve element unit 50 is inserted into a valve element storage opening of a valve housing, the stop ring 80 is pushed by the valve stem 60 and moved downward, and fitted into an inner circumferential groove part 41 of the valve housing 31.
