PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feeder capable of relieving impact, when a moving body collides with a structure arranged on a immobile body. SOLUTION: This feeder has a ball screw 10, a first support device 20, a second support device for supporting the other end side of the ball screw 10 rotatable around the axis and movable in the axial direction, a nut threadedly engaging with the ball screw 10, a driving motor for rotating the ball screw 10, and a control device for controlling the driving motor. The first support device 20 is composed of a housing 21 having the inside formed in a hollow shape, and having a through-hole 21a for inserting the ball screw 10, a first piston 22 fitted to and inserted into the housing 21, movably arranged in the direction parallel to the axis of the ball screw 10 and having a holding hole 22a penetrating through the other end side from one end side, a bearing 23 for rotatably supporting the one end side of the ball screw 10 and held in the holding hole 22a, and an energizing mechanism 30 for energizing the first piston 22 to the one end side of the ball screw 10.
