PHOTOELECTRIC CONVERSION ELEMENT

There is provided an all solid-state photoelectric conversion element having a large effective surface area and a high durability which can be manufactured at a low cost. The photoelectric conversion element has a conductor substrate forming an ohmic junction with a semiconductor on one surface of the semiconductor and a conductor film forming a shot key junction with the semiconductor on the other surface. An intensifying pigment layer is arranged on the conductor film. The photoelectric conversion element is characterized in that the roughness factor of the side surface forming the shot key junction of the semiconductor is 5 or above.
