METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTINUOUSLY CONTROLLING A CRYSTALLISATION PROCESS IN A REACTION MEDIUM

The invention relates to a method for continuously controlling a crystallisation process taking place in a reaction medium (1). According to said method, a system (3, 7) for observing a quantity representative of said reaction medium is arranged as close as possible to the liquid reaction medium (1) containing the compound to be crystallised in the dissolved state; said observation system is used to produce successive images of the crystals (4) in the liquid reaction medium; the images obtained are analysed by computer (8) and electronic means in order to deduce information about certain characteristics of said crystals; and, according to the thus obtained information, and by comparison with previously defined values, said information is sent in the form of electric signals in order to control at least one functional parameter of the reaction medium, in view of maintaining said characteristics of the crystals in a pre-determined domain.
