METHOD AND A DEVICE FOR SUPPORTING PLURAL REMOTE CONTROLLERS, SPECIFICALLY CORRELATED TO PREVIOUSLY DEFINING AN EVENT CLASS AND A FUNCTION CLASS TO IDENTIFY THE PLURAL REMOTE CONTROLLERS

PURPOSE: A method and a device for supporting plural remote controllers are provided to use an event class including a remote control identifier which is defined to identify plural remote controllers, thereby controlling signals received from the plural remote controllers. CONSTITUTION: A remote control hardware receiving module(2) receives RF signals generated from each of plural remote controllers(1a-1n). A remote control software driver(3) processes the received RF signals in software type. An HAVi level 2 user interface(4) identifies the corresponding remote controllers(1a-1n) by using a defined API based on the processed RF signals, and generates an event signal for the corresponding remote controllers(1a-1n). A Java application(6) controls the remote controllers(1a-1n) according to the generated event signal. THe HAVi level 2 user interface(4) includes an event manager(5) for managing the event generation in accordance with the RF signals.
