The conveyor system, especially an airport baggage handling system, has conveyor routes which have a number of branch points (5), and a superimposed control through which for each piece of goods (2) the destination and conveyor routes are predetermined and which are converted from a subimposed control. From the subimposed control at the branch points each destination has a forward transfer direction, and the forward transfer is converted from the subimposed control without checking back to the superimposed control. An independent claim is included for a control for a conveyor system, especially for an airport baggage handling system.
