Dielectric barrier discharge lamp (1) comprises a discharge vessel containing a discharge medium, a set of electrodes (8-11) for producing dielectrically hindered discharges in the discharge medium, and a luminescent mixture applied on part of the wall of the vessel and consisting of R: (Y, Gd)BO3: Eu, G: LaPO4: (Tb or LaPO4 (Ce, Tb)) and B: BaMgAl10O17: Eu (where R = 0.05-0.15; G = 0.50-0.70; B = 0.20-0.40; and R + G + B = 1).
