Fuel injector

The injection valve (20) for a combustion engine has at least one outlet (21) the degree of opening of which can be varied. Optionally the valve can have a number of openings arranged on a curve and whose spraying angles can be varied. An independent claim is made for a method for controlling the fuel injection to combustion engine, whereby the degree of opening of at least one fuel injector can be varied to match the fuel injection amount per engine cycle, while maintaining an approximately constant injection duration and pressure.
