Process and apparatus for the deposition of metal and metal alloys from organometallic electrolytes

Apparatus for depositing metals or alloys from organometallic electrolytes, especially organometallic complex salts in organic solvents, on objects (7) comprises a coating section (3). This is connected to processing sections (2, 4) and has feed (20) and outlet (40) chambers for the products which prevent entry of oxygen and moisture. Siphon washers (60, 61) and partitions (53, 54) seal the coating section from the other sections and a hood (5) encloses them which maintains an inert gas atmosphere. An independent claim is included for a method for depositing metals or alloys from organometallic electrolytes, especially organometallic complex salts in organic solvents, on objects using the apparatus.
