Static mixer with polymorphous structure

A static mixer pipe has a polymorphic interior mixing structure (1) and receives a fluid medium (M). A pipe (5) is sub-divided into a first mixer section (I) and a contiguous second mixer section (II). The mixer structure distributes the incoming mixture globally over the entire cross sectional area of the first section. The mixer in the second section (II) effects mixing in partial sectors representing a sub-sector of the pipe cross sectional area. The mixing structures in the first and second sections have the same or about the same hydraulic cross sectional area. The second section mixer elements are monolithic precision-cast components assembled to form a monolithic block.
