Cleaning exhaust gases, in particular, gas-contaminated exhaust air from printing installations, involves delivery of the ejector agent from an adsorber (5a, 5b, 5c) working in a desorptive mode to a first cooling stage (12) and, in a drying and cooling stage, delivery of the exhaust gas to a second cooling stage (14). An independent claim is also included for an apparatus for the above process.
