A hinge has first and second leaves (1 and 2) pivotally linked together, each leaf having at least two mounting holes (5) for receiving fixing screws, wherein the mounting holes (5) are elongated whereby the position of the hinge may be adjusted after insertion of the fixing screws, in use. The method of hingedly mounting a door using the hinge of the invention comprises attaching the hinge to the door and to the door frame by means of screws (10) passing through the mounting holes in such a manner that the hinge is slidable relative to the door and/or the door frame, adjusting the door to the desired vertical position relative to the door frame, and tightening the screws to lock the position of the door. |
