Preparation for use against flying insects that bite

The preparation comprises:

i) benzyl benzoate;

ii) diethyl toluamide;

iii) zinc carbonate;

iv) zinc oxide;

v) allantoin; and

vi) petrolatum. The preparation is advantageous in that it first of all acts to deter the flying insects from biting, and it secondly acts to alleviate irritation if the flying insects do actually bite. The preparation may include tee tree oil and/or peppermint oil.
