[Also in Division F2] The invention relates to a modification of the non-reversible odometers described in Specification 1, 241, 630 wherein the driving connection between the primary shaft 31 and gear 38 comprises a drive pin 48 axially slidable in a bore 47 extending across a diameter of a reduced portion of the shaft 31 and engaging a one-way drive cam surface 52 formed on an annular portion 51 of the gear 38 so that, in accordance with the direction of rotation, the pin 48 may engage a portion 54 to drive the gear 38 or continuously rotate relative thereto, riding up each rise 53 and dropping on to portions of greatest diameter successively. |
