1283992 High voltage switchgear MAGRINIFABRICHE RIUNITE MAGRINI SCARPA E MAGNANO MSM SpA 11 Aug 1969 [9 Aug 1968 17 July 1969 22 July 1969] 40148/69 Heading HlN In a high voltage circuit-breaker system 1, 1, Fig. 1, mounted on an insulating post 4 and having isolator contacts 24 at opposite ends, the post 4 is mounted on a frame structure 10, 43 and may be given one or more degrees of movement for isolating the contacts 24 and/or for bringing the circuit breakers 1 into a lower position for maintenance purposes. In the example of Fig. 1 the post 4 is supported on a frame part 43 having a lower bearing 14 in a second frame part 10 carrying a power drive 16 for rotating the frame part 43 and post 4 about the vertical axis Y, Y for isolation. The second frame part 10 is also pivoted at 17, 17 on a horizontal axis X, X whereby the circuitbreakers 1 may then be swung downwards to a maintenance position. In modifications the support frame may be moved horizontally on rollers whereby the circuit breakers may be moved to one or more positions to engage further pairs of fixed contacts (25), Fig. 7 (not shown), on insulating support columns (20). In other examples the circuit-breakers 1 and columns 4 may be isolated from one pair of columns 20, Fig. 12, by rotation through 45 degrees on the vertical axis or may engage a second pair of columns 20 by rotation through 90 degrees. At the 45 degree isolation position they may be swivelled downwards on the horizontal X, X axis as in the example of Fig. 1. In a further example, Fig. 23 (not shown), the column 4 may be lowered vertically along its own vertical axis (Y, Y) for both isolation and lowering to a maintenance position. Reference is also made to swivelling the column 4 on a horizontal axis arranged above the circuit-breakers which thereby move in the manner of a pendulum. |
