<p>A metal lip (1) is maintained in a horizontal position by a spring (5) which can move in only one direction. Once the door (7) passes the lip the door can no longer be opened. Sending a pulse to the lock causes the lock bolt (3) to move under the influence of magnetism into another position, allowing the lip to move and remain in a different position for given length of time, so that the door can be opened again. The lock can be operated by remote control.</p> |
