The present invention provides a substantially purified UDP-N- acetylglucosamine:.alpha.-6-D-mannoside .beta.-1,6-N-acetylgluco- saminyltransferase (GlcNAcT-V; EC 2:4.1:155) and antibodies which specifical ly bind GlcNAc T-V.
