Barbecue grill comprises: a combustion chamber for producing a combustion gas stream; a cooking chamber; and an element for positioning a foamed ceramic plate between the combustion chamber and the cooking chamber. Barbecue grill comprises: a combustion chamber (2) for producing a combustion gas stream (S); a cooking chamber (3) for cooking and/or smoking grilled food; and an element for positioning a foamed ceramic plate (4) between the combustion chamber and the cooking chamber, so that the combustion gas stream partially or completely passes through the ceramic from the combustion chamber into the cooking chamber during operation of the grill. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a flame bulkhead for inserting into the grill; and (b) a retrofitting kit for the grill.
