SCROLL COMPRESSOR INSTALLED IN AN AIR CONDITIONER OR A REFRIGERATOR FOR REDUCING COMPRESSION LOSS AND PREVENTING EXCESSIVE COMPRESSION WITH STEPPED PARTS AND BYPASS HOLES

PURPOSE: A scroll compressor is provided to prevent leakage of compression in the stepped portion and to restrict excessive compression by regulating the capacity with the bypass hole. CONSTITUTION: A scroll compressor is composed of a first scroll(12) having a swirl wall plate at the side of an end plate, a second scroll(13) composed of a swirl wall body engaged with the wall plate of the first scroll and supported to restrict rotation and revolve, stepped portions formed at the side of the end plate of the scroll by increasing the height of the center of a swirl and decreasing the height of the outer edge, an engagement unit combined with the stepped portion while contacting the lower part of the scroll to the edge of the wall body by decreasing the height of the center of the swirl in the other wall body of the scroll and increasing the outer edge, and bypass holes(46a,46b) mounted in the center of the swirl to communicate the compression chamber surrounded by the wall bodies and the end plates of the scrolls.
