PURPOSE: A method of generating a music file for video song accompaniment, a playing method, and a recording medium thereof are provided to compressively configure music files for song accompaniment, while producing background moving images and still images according to the atmosphere of songs, so that a user can enjoy thousands of songs while maintaining a high sound quality. CONSTITUTION: A controller connects an internal microphone to an audio CODEC(S526). In a data up/down mode(S528), the controller downloads an MP3 file, and stores the downloaded file in a flash memory card interface(S530). In an MP3 select mode, the controller accesses a selected MP3 file(S532), and outputs digital audio data to a headphone or an earphone(S534). In a voice recording mode(S536), the controller converts a voice signal into digital audio data, generates the converted voice data as a voice recording file, and stores the generated file(S538). If an RF signal is received(S540), the controller accesses word data to display words of a song as caption data(S542). The controller checks whether a portable mode is terminated(S544). If so, the controller returns to a main program.
