PURPOSE: A power control circuit of an automatic electronic power meter is provided to prevent unnecessary power consumption of a battery through an auxiliary power controller which supplies the power of the battery to the power meter when a power failure is sensed. CONSTITUTION: A power control circuit of an automatic electronic power meter includes a power supply portion(210), a current stoppage detector(220), a battery charger(230), and an auxiliary power controller(240). The power supply portion converts an AC power to a DC power and supplies the DC power to the power meter. The current stoppage detector detects the input power of the power supply portion and outputs a current stoppage signal when no power is detected. The battery charger charges a battery(250) by using the power from the power supply portion. The auxiliary power controller prevents the battery from supplying power when no current stoppage signal is detected and enables the battery to feed power when the current stoppage signal is detected.
