<p>The hydraulic gasket solves the problem of maintaining a constant sealing force and thus also a constant release. Because of the option of setting the minimum required and constant sealing force, this consequently causes little wear of all elements subject to it. The hydraulic gasket is very suitable for applications on machines, where gaskets are inaccessible without stopping or dismantling the machine, as for example regarding gaskets in pipe turbines. The main feature of the invention is that pressure is exerted onto the gasket flange (2) with the help of a gravitation battery and hydraulic links (11). The system for generating pressure can be remotely located from the gasket particularly because of the option of supplying pressure through the piping.</p> |
