FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing 5,6-benzthiochromanone-4 [3H-naphtho(2,1-B)thiopyrane (2H)-one] of the formula: . ^ . Method involves cyclocondensation reaction of 2-naphthylthiopropionitrile in the presence of polyphosphoric acid at temperature 80-120oC, in the molar ratio 2-naphthylthiopropionitrile : polyphosphoric acid = 1:(3-6) for 0.5-4 h and the following hydrolysis of formed chromanimine-4 in aqueous medium and isolation of the end product. Method provides elevating yield of the end product and to simplify its isolation and purification. ^ EFFECT: improved preparing method. ^ 5 ex |
