FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry of lactam derivatives, namely to a method for preparing N-(2-chloroalkyl)- and N-alkylaromatic derivatives of lactams of the general formula: wherein R means hydrogen atom (H), chlorine atom (Cl); R' means (CH2)3, (CH2)5 that can be used as modifying agents of unsaturated carbon-chain rubbers and rubber mixtures based on thereof. Method for preparing indicated N-substituted lactams involves addition of N-chlorolactams to allyl benzene wherein N-chlorobutyrolactam or N-chlorocaprolactam are used as N-chlorolactams. Process is carried out in the mole ratio N-chlorolactam to allyl benzene = 1-(1.15:1) in the presence of ethylene glycol mono-tert.-butylperoxy-alpha-methylmethoxyethoxyethyl ester as a catalyst taken in the amount 0.4-4.0 wt.-% in inert solvent medium, for example, chlorobenzene, at temperature 100-125oC for 15-20 min. method provides reducing reaction time by 20-30-fold, simplifying method for isolating end products and expanding assortment of synthesized compounds. ^ EFFECT: improved preparing method. ^ 4 ex |
