FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, postharvest processing of grain and seeds. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves charging grain into apparatus and overspeeding sorting screens to predetermined speed; overspeeding sorting screens in reverse direction, said reversal being periodically provided throughout the entire sorting time. Apparatus has two cylindrical screens inserted one into another for regulation of sizes of sorting openings and core provided with tilt board and arranged in central part of screens. Brush-type cleaners are put onto cylindrical screens for rotation in opposite directions. Elastic members are rigidly fixed on ends of bristle cleaners. ^ EFFECT: increased efficiency in sorting of grain without adhering of grain layer to screen surface and simplified process for changing-over from sorting of grain of one size to grain of other size owing to regulation of grain sizes. ^ 3 cl, 2 dwg |
