FIELD: ice-breaking technique. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in breaking ice cover by means of ice-breaking submarine which is equipped with pair of ice-cutting devices mounted in fore portion of submarine hull in plane of one of front frames. Ice-separating wedge is secured to submarine conning tower in such way that its edge is vertically positioned in plane passing through longitudinal axis of submarine. Mounted in between pair of ice-cutting devices and ice-separating wedge is middle ice-cutting device in plane passing through longitudinal axis of submarine. ^ EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of breaking ice cover. ^ 2 dwg |
