FIELD: keeping of utility dogs. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves group keeping in cages of dogs serving as detectors, said dogs being hybrids produced by crossing of native Eskimo dog serving as deer dog and common jackal working in temperature range of from +400C to -400C; preliminarily training dogs-detectors by bringing them closer to one another during keeping them in cages while reducing isolating space between them for time not in the excess of one day. Keeping cage is made three-tired and provided with hopper-accumulator and divided into sections with grid-type floor for removal of wastes into hopper-accumulator. Sections are provided with flag or shutter type doors providing passage of dogs-detectors from one section into another section. Ladder-type doors are arranged at both sides between second and third tiers and adapted for lifting to block communication between sections and tiers. Communication between first and second tiers is provided by means of ladder, which is single for two adjacent cages, said ladder being fixed outside and closed by means of shutter. Method allows dogs to be trained in detecting of small amounts of low-volatility explosives and drugs. ^ EFFECT: increased efficiency, enhanced reliability in searching of explosives and drugs and reduced costs of training procedures. ^ 7 cl, 2 dwg |
