PMI syrup phases and their use for stabilizing insoluble additives in a process for preparing copolymers

Disclosed herein is the use of a high-molecular polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) or poly-N-methyl methacrylimide (PMMI) syrup phase that allows for distribution of fillers in the polymerization batch in such a manner that the distribution of the fillers remains homogeneous during polymerization, thereby producing a homogeneous foamed material.
