The process involves applying an alternating electrical signal with a frequency and predetermined amplitude to terminals of two electrodes (28, 30). The signal issued from the electrodes is measured and processed. The signal is compared with a nomogram (34), obtained by calibration of the electrodes, to define the measurement of the rate of impurities in a surface of a pavement. An independent claim is also included for a device for implementation of a process for measurement of a condition of a surface.
