摘要 PURPOSE: A method for converting an amino ether alcohol to an amino ether amine is provided to improve the selectivity, yield, and productivity of the desired product and to reduce the formation of side products. CONSTITUTION: The method for converting an amino ether alcohol to an amino ether amine comprises contacting a catalyst comprising at least one of zinc oxide and a zinc salt, and at least one of copper oxide and a copper salt, with a vapor phase mixture comprising the amino ether alcohol and an amine. Preferably, the amino ether alcohol is dimethylaminoethoxyethanol, and the amine is a monoalkylamine and/or a dialkylamine. Further, the catalyst may comprise a cocatalyst comprising at least one selected from an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, samarium, europium, gadolinium, and terbium in an amount of 0.05 to 5 wt%, based on a total weight of the catalyst.
