PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to lower a breakdown voltage and improve stability of sustain discharge by arranging igniter electrodes between scan electrodes and sustain electrodes. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises a first substrate and a second substrate opposed with each other; address electrodes(21) formed on the second substrate; barrier ribs(17) disposed in a space formed between the first substrate and the second substrate so as to define a plurality of discharge cells(23R,23G,23B); phosphor layers formed in the discharge cells, respectively; discharge sustain electrodes(12,13) formed on the first substrate; and igniter electrodes(14,15) extended from the respective discharge sustain electrodes and protruded toward insides of the discharge cells.
