PURPOSE: A valve timing control device of an internal combustion engine is provided to improve the drivability, the fuel efficiency and the performance of the engine by detecting the desired advance of the valve timing and integrating the detected advance with the desired advance. CONSTITUTION: A valve timing control device of an internal combustion engine is composed of a sensor unit detecting operation of the internal combustion engine, intake and exhaust camshafts(15C,16C) driving intake and exhaust valves of the internal combustion engine in rotating a crankshaft of the internal combustion engine, actuators(15,16) combined with the intake and exhaust camshafts, hydraulic supply units(19,20) supplying hydraulic pressure for driving the actuators, and a control unit(21A) regulating hydraulic pressure to the actuator from the hydraulic supply unit according to operation of the internal combustion engine and changing the relative phase of the camshaft to the crankshaft.
