METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PERIODICALLY PERFORMING REAL-TIME OPERATIONS

PURPOSE: A method and a system for periodically performing real-time operations are provided to save electric power of a processor without damaging any real-time operation. CONSTITUTION: To make the processor periodically perform the real-time operation at a predetermined time interval, a scheduling operation for allotting the real-time operation to the processor is performed(S1). A ratio of an execution time for the real-time operation to be performed by the processor at the first operation speed for each time interval is calculated based on the time interval and expense information needed for performing the real-time operation at the first operation speed(S3). An operation speed controlling operation for operating the processor at the second processing speed lower than the first operation speed is performed(S5). The second operation speed is determined based on the calculated ratio.
