SECONDARY BATTERY ADJUSTING EXPANSION OF ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY

PURPOSE: Provided is a secondary battery which forms thicker or thinner middle part of long side than other parts to adjust the expansion of electrode assembly so that it enables to prevent swelling situation caused by the volume expansion of the electrode assembly. CONSTITUTION: The secondary battery comprises the parts of: the electrode assembly(10) which is formed by reeling cathode(12), anode(14) and a separator(16); and an angle-typed can(20) which is composed of a pair of opposite long sides(22) and a short side to connect the long sides, in which the electrode assembly and electrolytes are formed. When seeing the can and the electrode assembly from plane, the long side of the can is formed unevenly as a long direction.
