PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for looping strip on deflector roll, wherein the apparatus improves surface checking of deflector roll and workability of chip removal operation and prevents safety accident of workers by promptly performing a looping operation of lifting up strip from the deflector roll in a certain gap without manual operation. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(1) for looping strip on deflector roll comprises a frame(10) installed at the upper side of the deflector roll(140); a vertical moving means(30) vertically movably installed at the central side of the frame; vertical rotary means(50) installed at both sides of the frame by being cooperated with the vertical moving means such that the vertical rotary means are liftable and lowerable and unfoldable; and electromagnets(80,90) installed at end parts of the vertical moving means and the vertical rotary means to looping the strip by lifting up strip on the deflector roll, wherein the vertical moving means comprises driving gears(34) and a vertical moving gear shaft(38), wherein the vertical rotary means comprises rotary gears(54), a plurality of casings(60), and an operation wire(66), and wherein the electromagnet(80) is installed on a lower part of the vertical moving gear shaft of the vertical moving means and connected to a cable(82) passing through the center of the vertical moving gear shaft, and the other electromagnets(90) are fixed to ends of the casings with being directed to the strip and connected to a cable reel(92) installed at the lower side of the frame.
