PURPOSE: A video display device of a digital video recording system is provided to remove a space limit by regenerating and confirming recorded video data without installing a separate display device, and secure a video display device at the minimum cost by controlling the display device by a central processing unit of a digital video recording system. CONSTITUTION: A central processing unit(26) records digital video data at a recording medium and reads the recorded digital video data. A monitoring encoder(42) outputs the read video data as a color signal for regeneration. A display(110) is installed integratedly with a digital video recording system for receiving the color signal from the monitoring encoder. A display driving unit(120) receives timing data for driving the display from the central processing unit for controlling the display through a data bus.
