PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a method for manufacturing the LCD are provided to form spacers using a plurality of color filters to omit a process of forming an overcoat film, to thereby simplify an LCD manufacturing process, reduce manufacturing cost and improve transmissivity of the LCD. CONSTITUTION: An LCD includes the first substrate(100), a plurality of color filters(130) formed on the first substrate, spacers(140) formed of the plurality of color filters, the second substrate(200) opposite to the first substrate, and a liquid crystal layer(300) formed between the first substrate and the second substrate.
