EFFICIENT EXTRACTION METHOD OF BIOACTIVE MATERIAL DERIVED FROM STARFISHES BY USING PROTEASE

PURPOSE: Provided is an efficient extraction method of a bioactive material derived from starfishes by using proteases. The bioactive material has excellent antibacterial, antioxidation, antihypertensive, anticholesterol and antimutation effects. CONSTITUTION: The efficient extraction method of a bioactive material derived from starfishes is characterized by comprising the steps of: adding 3 times amount of distilled water to starfishes; adding proteases to the starfishes, followed by stirring at 50 deg.C for 3-5 hours then centrifugation to separate supernatant and residues; and recovering the supernatant. The starfishes include Asterias amurensis or Asterias pectinifera.
