PURPOSE: A method for tracking the vehicles by using a road traffic information is provided to accurately determine the driving road by using the traffic information of the tracking vehicle neighboring road at the control center. CONSTITUTION: A method for tracking the vehicles by using a road traffic information includes the steps of: (a) commanding(110) the order to transmit the position of the vehicle to the vehicle on the road at the control center; (b) calculating(120) the vehicle positions(P1,P2) and the road information(L) at the vehicle receiving the order from the control center; (c) calculating(130) the vehicle speed(Vx) by using the vehicle position and the road information received from the vehicle at the control center; (d) receiving(140) the traffic information from the traffic information provider; (e) acquiring(150) the traffic information of the neighboring road on the road information(L) at the control center; and (f) determining(160) the road having the speed most similar to the vehicle speed(Vx) as the tracking vehicle placing road.
