PURPOSE: A pedal for a vehicle is provided to improve safety in a collision and to facilitate operation of a steering wheel or a dashboard, by making the pedal hinged to a pedal member move to be situated to a position of facilitating driver's operation. CONSTITUTION: In a pedal(100) for a vehicle, a pedal bracket(300) is combined to a vehicle body and a pedal member(400) is combined to the pedal bracket. The front end of a pedal arm(110) of the pedal having a footboard(120) formed to the front is combined to the pedal member in a state of vertically rotating around a hinge(200). A worm gear(600), moving the pedal member to which the pedal is combined to the front and rear parts of the room of a vehicle according to the rotation direction of a reversible motor(500), is installed to the inside of the pedal bracket. The rotation and rotation direction of the reversible motor are decided according to a signal of a control unit output according to the operation state of an operation switch installed to the room.
