PURPOSE: A controlling method of a mobile communication terminal using a GPS is provided to supply a driving power to the entire elements to normalize functions of the elements if a terminal is out of a call disable area, thereby minimizing power consumption caused by a network searching while supplying information on a call enable area. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication terminal stores position information on a call enable area by receiving a GPS satellite signal(S10), and confirms whether a current position is out of the call enable area(S12). If so, the terminal stops supplying power to all elements except an element for GPS receiving and operating(S14). The terminal decides whether a GPS signal can be received(S16). If so, the terminal stores a predetermined radius area as a call disable area(S18). The terminal decides a current position by continuously receiving the GPS signal, and confirms whether the terminal is out of the call disable area(S20). |
