PURPOSE: A dehydration control method of a washing machine is provided to minimize an error caused by a dehydration state changed according to the passage of time, to improve the accuracy for detecting the amount of the laundry by increasing the number of detection operations, and to sense the amount of the laundry approximate to the actual amount of the laundry in consideration of an eccentricity index. CONSTITUTION: A dehydration control method of a washing machine is composed of steps for detecting the amount of the laundry(S101,S102); detecting both the amount of the laundry and eccentricity(S103); choosing the final amount of the laundry by using the amount of the laundry detected from the laundry-weight detection step and the eccentricity/laundry-weight detection step(S104); and main-dehydrating the laundry according to the selected amount of the laundry(S105).
