CONSTITUTION: The transparent electrode for an electro-optical structure comprises a first layer containing at least one conductive polymer and a second layer containing at least one of an optionally substituted polyaniline and at least one polythiophene having recurring units represented by the formula I, wherein A is an optionally substituted C1-C5 alkylene group, R is a linear or branched C1-C18 alkyl group, C5-C12 cycloalkyl group, C6-C14 aryl group, C7-C18 aralkyl group, C1-C4 hydroxyalkyl group, and hydroxyl group, each being optionally substituted, and x is an integer of 0 to 8, provided that if a plurality of R groups are bound to A, they may be the same or different.</p>
