SYSTEM OF TRACKING LOCATIONS OF OTHER SHIPS FOR AVOIDING COLLISION BETWEEN SHIPS BY USING SOUND PRESSURE LEVELS

PURPOSE: A system of tracking locations of other ships is provided to prevent collision with other ships by confirming locations of other ships based on utilizing sound pressure levels of sound pressure signals received from all directions. CONSTITUTION: An upper microphone(210) is installed at an upper part of ship in order to collect sound pressure signals of all directions. A left microphone(206) and a right microphone(208) are used for collecting sound pressure signals of a left side and a right side of ship. A front microphone(202) and a rear microphone(204) are used for collecting sound pressure signals in the stern and bow of ship. A signal processor(220) is used for converting the sound pressure signals received by microphones to digital signals. A PC(230) is used for receiving the digital signals to evaluate sound pressure levels, generating alarm sound according to the sound pressure levels, and tracking locations of other ships.
