PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for preventing solidification of slag remained in pot after completion of continuous casting operation, thereby reducing slag treatment time to improve productivity, prevent safety accident or facility accident and reduce cost generated due to slag treatment. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for preventing solidification of slag in pot comprises a first heating part(1) in which solidification of slag is prevented by gas supplied into the heating pot as moving and opening and closing a cover that covers the upper surface of the heating pot that stores slag; a heating pot(2) comprising a pot body in which slag is stored, and along the outer surface of which a heating wire cover is wound, wherein a sub heating wire and a main heating wire are connected to an inner part of the heating wire cover to prevent temperature drop of the slag; a first power supply connection part(3) and a second power supply connection part(6) for supplying a power source to the heating pot; a slag blocking part(4) for preventing scattering of the slag according to discharging of the slag through a blocking plate; a second heating part(5) for preventing solidification of slag in the heating pot according to movement of a transfer car; an ignitor(7) installed on the transfer car to ignite the first and second heating parts; a hydraulic pressure generator(8) installed between the ignitor and the second heating part to supply power required in operation of respective cylinders; and a controller(9) installed on the second heating part to control the first and second heating parts and the first and second power supply connection parts.
