PURPOSE: A display device including an inverter circuit differently operated in response to change of an input source is provided to differently operate the inverter circuit in response to an NTSC signal or a PAL signal without changing capacitance to restrain generation of line noise. CONSTITUTION: A display device includes a back light unit(202-1) for providing light to the display device, an inverter circuit(200), and a transformer(201). The inverter circuit outputs a predetermined inverter frequency for controlling brightness of the back light unit in response to the kind of an image input source. The transformer transforms the inverter frequency output from the inverter circuit to operate the back light unit. The inverter circuit includes a control frequency generator(200-1) and a PFM IC(Pulse Frequency Modulation Integrated Circuit)(200-2).
